PIC – NIC  tables are available at the Winery. You are welcome to bring a snack and have a glass of wine as you enjoy the out-of-doors. 



Did you know the story of growing grapes in Kentucky started in 1797 and Kentucky was the 5th largest grape producer until Prohibition? The story of the Baker-Bird Winery also started in 1797. This tour gives you a history of the Baker Family and the importance of wine in the Ohio River valley 150 years ago. Visitors enjoy this tour.

Tour is interesting but complimentary at no cost.



If you like wine and are interested in the process of making wine, then you will enjoy this tour.   Join us in the cellar for a hands on demonstration regarding making wine.

– Did they really stomp those grapes by their feet to make grape juice 150 years ago?

- How did corks get into the wine bottles before machines?  

You will have the opportunity to learn about aging wine and roll the barrel. Take home a special souvenir from the largest, oldest wine cellar in America!    

Tour starts on Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $10 per person.

Our students of the University will participate in a special tour and learn the Five S’s of Wine Tasting. Upon graduation, our students will have the confidence to properly taste wine as well as any Harvard or Yale grad.  As a student you will receive a Baker-Bird Wine logo glass, verbal instruction, tasting map and of course be a proud graduate.

The Five S’s Tour for two includes the tour, two logo glasses and a cheese plate for two—all for excellent value of $30″
