Did you know the story of growing grapes in Kentucky started in 1797 and Kentucky was the 5th largest grape producer until Prohibition? The story of the Baker-Bird Winery also started in 1797. This tour gives you a history of the Baker Family and the importance of wine in the Ohio River valley 150 years ago. Visitors enjoy this tour.

If you like wine and are interested in the process of making wine, then you will enjoy this tour. Join us in the cellar for a hands on demonstration regarding making wine.
You will have the opportunity to learn about aging wine and roll the barrel. Take home a special souvenir from the largest, oldest wine cellar in America!
Tour starts on Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $10 per person.
Our students of the University will participate in a special tour and learn the Five S's of Wine Tasting. Upon graduation, our students will have the confidence to properly taste wine as well as any Harvard or Yale grad. As a student you will receive a Baker-Bird Wine logo glass, verbal instruction, tasting map and of course be a proud graduate.
