This special wine took 11 years to produce
The Kentucky Bourbon is fermented in a heavy charred bourbon barrel for nine years
The Cabernet is fermented in a White Oak Barrel for one year
Then the Cabernet is racked from the White Oak Barrel to the used Bourbon Barrel for six months to one year
It is a very S-M-O-O-T-H dry red wine with bourbon undertones
The Cabernet Franc thrives in the continental climate of the Kentucky Bluegrass area. The rich Cabernet Franc of Baker-Bird yields a truly Kentucky wine for savoring. You will relish moments indulging in the Cabernet Franc while pairing it with a hearty beef steak. So, catch a Kentucky Cab and take a nice ride.
This is a dry wine
Is a classic French vine but this is definitely a Kentucky wine
It is the only European vine that is suggested to be planted in Kentucky by University of Kentucky Horticulture Department because it has better hardiness and can withstand temperatures of 25 below zero
You are truly tasting Kentucky terroir
This stands up well to a steak because it’s flavor will not be lost
Ruby Hawk Rose’ is a delicious blend of white and red wine to create a beautiful tasting experience. The Rose’ is sweet, soft, and savory. This flavorful blend is a flitatious symphony of 75% Cayuga White, 15% Vidal Blanc, and 10% Marchal Foch. This wine remains a popular choice by our patrons.
The difference between a Blush and Rose’ is that a blush can be made from one variety of grape. But, a rose’ is a blend of juice from white and red grapes.
This wine is a blend of 75 % Cayuga white, which is a white grape similar to the Vidal Blanc, 15% Vidal Blanc, and only 10% Marchal Foch, a red grape
Notice that with only 10% of a red grape how deep the color is of this rose’
Rose’s are not just dumping together white and red wines, it is important to blend just the right proportions of wines that go well together
In order to release a burst of exotic aromas as well as flavors, these Cabernet Franc grapes were pressed and the juice immediately drained from the grape skins, which produced a white wine from red grapes. This Blanc de Cab Franc is a distinct Kentucky wine produced from a French vine. This is the first commercial wine made in Bracken County in about 140 years.
This wine is made with the Cabernet Franc grapes but the skins are removed before fermentation so the wine remains a white wine
